Tutukaka Coast has many ‘off the beaten track’ locations that are difficult to access by foot, but are within a short reach by Stand Up Paddleboard. Let our guides take your group on a journey through the rugged cliffs that make up our coastlines.
Our goal is for you to have a distinctive, once in a life time experience, where you learn about our coastal environment and connect to the land. We show respect to Te Moana (the ocean) and enjoy sharing te kōrero o mua (history and traditions) of Aotearoa. We endeavor to be environmentally sustainable in all of our operations to ensure the mana (spiritual power) of our land is upheld.
Our group tours are all custom designed and are highly dependant on tide, time, weather conditions and what you would like to see and do. All you need to do is let us know how long you would like to paddle for, and what you would like to get out of the day and we will take care of the rest! Out here on the Tutukaka Coast we have an ample selection of beaches and estuaries to choose from which means we can almost always find an epic location to paddle.
Woolleys Bay to Whale Bay
Matapouri to Horseshoe Bay and the Mermaid Pools
Kowharewa Bay to Tutukaka Harbour
Ngunguru to Goat Island
Wellingtons Bay to Motutara Island
Poor Knights Islands
We often explore places only few have been, where there is a chance to intimately interact with marine life while we take the stand up paddleboards through caves and around islands. You’ll discover secluded white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and rock gardens – all in a safe and educational guided tour with our certified instructors.
FULL DAY TOUR
Spend the entire day upon the ocean with us. The possibilities are countless when it comes to the Tutukaka and the Bay of Islands coastal regions. Book an on water wellness day for you and your friends, an educational coastal experience for you and the kids or take our charter boat to one of the many islands in the proximal Pacific. We know that you are unique, therefore, we do not have set itineraries for our full day tours. We will work together with you to create the ultimate journey for you and your family, friends or colleagues. Each individual journey will be suited to specific abilities, desired pace and feel. We can provide a multitude of activities including, but not limited to, stand up paddle boarding, surfing, fishing, snorkeling, free diving, SUP Yoga, on water meditation and spa treatments.

HALF DAY TOUR
The best way to really get into the secret spots of the Tutukaka Coast is to join us for a morning or afternoon. Half day trips are generally 4-5 hours. We will venture to a beautiful spot for a picnic lunch, park up the paddleboards to climb to the top of an island, watch the sun setting from the water, catch a cheeky wave and even do a bit of paddle board yoga if you are up for it! While we design our trips to be on the adventurous side, we do have the flexibility to tailor the itinerary to suit all ages and abilities. By the end of the tour we aim to leave you empowered and confident upon our stand up paddleboards.
