We are a small family business with big dreams.
Scotty and Jo live their passion by creating safe, educational and fun experiences for everyone. Through EOTC for Schools, Holiday Programmes, Paddle Board Lessons, Eco-Tours, Events and SUP Yoga, we take thousands of people out on the water each year.
We believe that everyone can learn to SUP! Our passion is to inspire others to love, protect and sustain our home - the earth - through safe interactions with the environment.
Our vision is to live in a world where the ocean is more than a resource for recreation, industrialisation and tourism. Our vision is to create a world where the ocean is an entity in her own standing, with the right to be clean, healthy, productive and free of human waste for all creatures to enjoy and benefit from for generations to come.
We invite you to switch off from the digital world and open your eyes to the world around you. Experience our coastline with a scenic tour, learn a new skill and take a SUP surfing lesson, bring your class out for an EOTC day, or visit our floating Yoga Studio.

OUR MISSION
At Sup Bro we are “for everyone and the earth”.
Our mission is to build relationships with the ocean through facilitating fun and education on water experiences that everyone can participate in - no matter their age, demographic or ability.
Through these sustainable experiences, we share water-safety knowledge and enhance environmental awareness to school groups, families, local businesses and tourists.
We are passionate about strengthening the relationship our participants have with te moana (the ocean) so that we can promote kaitiakitanga (gaurdianship) of our environment.
OUR AIMS
We aim is to conduct sustainable, water-safety and environmental educational programmes that all New Zealand children can participate in and be leaders in building momentum towards a zero-waste future.
To strengthen the relationship our participants have with Aotearoa’s natural aquatic environment through experiential learning.
Highlighting the problem of plastic waste in our environment, and ensuring our future generations have the skills to mitigate this issue. Empowering all of our participants to know that they can make a difference to help restore our natural environment.
Ensuring all New Zealand children can participate in water-related programmes that allow them to be confident and comfortable in, and knowledgeable about, the aquatic environment - no matter their socio-economic class or ability.
OUR SUSTAINABILITY COMMITMENT
Sustainability is at the centre of our business. It is our core practice to promote water-safety and the restoration of the environment. The ocean is our classroom, office, storefront, and our playground.
We are proud supporters of the TIA Tourism Sustainability Commitment and are making waves towards reducing the amount of plastic in the ocean.
OUR APPROACH
Through our school programmes, the Kaupapa Maori Principle of Ata (growing respectful relationships) is central in our mahi (work). With this principle in mind, we build matauranga (knowledge) and connection with the ocean through experiential learning.
